6th Day of Progress on Dancing Dolphins

6th Day of Progress with Dancing with Dolphins
Golly, sure seems to be going slow. I finished all the Coral today.
Tomorrow I am setting my goal on getting the sand and part of the Ocean done.
Class tomorrow, geesh, will I ever get finished. I do love working on this project though. I am getting anxious to see it finished. I hope it will be as beautiful as I have visions of it being.

5th Day of Progress on Dancing Dolphins

5th DAY OF WORK
TODAY I FINISHED THE PINK, BLACK AND WHITE FISH.
OH YES! I ALSO ADDED THE FINS TO, TWO OF THE DOLPHINS, I AM NOT SURE HOW I MISSED THOSE, BUT THE LITTLE DARLINGS NOW HAVE THEIR FINS!
I AM STILL UNABLE TO FIND AS MUCH TIME TO WORK ON THIS PEICE AS I WOULD LIKE. THE NEXT FEW DAYS I WILL BE DEDICATING A BIT MORE TIME TO IT.
I AM ANXIOUS TO SEE IT PROGRESS NOW.

4th Working Day of Stained Glass Project

This is the 4th Day I have been able to work on my Project. It finally feels like I might be getting somewhere. I am really enjoying this. One more Dolphin to make, then I am not sure what I will do next. There are still 2 fish I need to do, but unsure of the color of glass that I want to use. Tomorrow is class, I am going to look over what glass is available, and perhaps do the last 2 fish tomorrow. I am thinking about placing a sun, and a couple of birds into the peice. I need to speak with my teacher about this, I am not sure how involved that will be since the pattern is pretty much already set.
I hope you are enjoying my photo journal of this project. Stop back I will be updating as I get parts complete.

Day 3 of Dancing Dolphins

DAY 3 OF STAINED GLASS
PROJECT
The Yellow and Black Fish are finished. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!
I was able to get started on the Orange, White and Yellow Fish today.
No, I didn't do the Dolphins, not sure I deserve that reward yet.
Perhaps I will finish the Yellow, Orange and White Fish and then Do the Dolphins.
I will not be able to work on my project on Thursday, I have a show in Williamsburg. Wish me luck!!!!!

2nd day of working on Dancing Dolphins

I am loving this project. I am still a little intimidated by it's size, but I will learn so much with this project. My Stained Glass teacher, will be showing me how to square up a project, also with a project this size, I am told it will need reinforced, that is only a few of the things I will learn in this class.

I don't seem to be able to find alot of time to work on this, ( VERY DISAPPOINTING ), because that is really all I want to do.

Anyway, The Sea Horse is Finished, and hopefully today, the Yellow and Black Fish will be finished. I think I will do the Dolphins next. (That is really what I wanted to do first)but thought I would knock off the peices I think are going to be the hardest first. I have 1 1/2 of the hard ones done, so I will reward myself, and do the DOLPHINS. lol

Check back I will continue to do a picture diary of my progress.

2nd Day of work on Dancing Dolphins

Progressive Diary of Dancing Dolphins Creation

Day 1
Ok, I know, it does not look like I have gotten much accomplished. However, there is alot of prep. work to a project this size. Cutting a wood frame, Drawing all the peices on mylar. Choosing glass colors, type of glass, foil, etc.
Most of the prep. work is now finished, and I am on my way, I am completing the SeaHorse first.
Now if the weather would cooperate, ( it is soooooooo hot in the garage ) this is where I work.
Not to mention life needs to move out of my way, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee you know, the day to day stuff, dishes, cooking, tending the animals.
Hey, Did I mention, my obsession with the computer? Twittering has become a real habit. lol, Wonder who I could blame that on? lol, Yea Yea, getting off here and back to the garage. I did take a fan out there this morning, so working will be a little more comfy.
See ya tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, May 18th

I am in Ohio. I have 3 scheduled shows. First one was this past Saturday, I made $10.00, My Sis made $12.00 and my neice made around $30.00. The weather was terrible, high winds, rain, cold, need I say more? lol After holding the tent down several times with the high winds, and dodging rain, all the vendors packed up and went home. I was so depressed, last year at this Show I made great sales. Wish me better luck this weekend with my Friday and Saturday shows. I need gas money to get home, well perhaps this is my sign from the big guy in the sky, maybe I am not supposed to head back to Virginia yet. We will see how this weekend sales go.

Artist Spotlight

I am a native of Columbus, Ohio. I am the 3rd to the oldest sibling in a very large family. My sewing skills came from my Mom, and 4-H. I was just starting to get back into sewing and creating after the birth of my 2 Granddaughters and the purchase of my home. I began dappling, making curtains and many different toddler outfits.

3 Years ago, my Sister, Cathy got me involved in making Hand Crafted Christmas gifts for our family and friends, boy did that ever start an excitement in me that I haven't had in years.

Knowing that my job at a major bank was in jeopardy as is most people's jobs these days, I started CRAFTED BY TERI. I started out small, with local Craft Shows and Farmers Markets. Then it dawned on me, we have the World Wide Web at our fingertips. You can visit my online stores at:

www.craftedbyter.etsy.com

www.craftedbyteri.artfire.com

www.craftedbyteri.ioffer.com

and

www.stores.ebay.com/craftedbyteri

My inventory is ever changing so stop in and browse often.

WHAT INSPIRES ME!

Finding beautiful fabrics to work with inspires me to create quality, beautiful and useful products. Knowing that I have created a unique, quality product, that will be enjoyed for years to come, motivates me to keep sewing.

MY FAVORITE SAYING!

"Do what you love, love what you do and always exceed expectations."

By Harvey MacKay

WHAT IS IN MY FUTURE!

My ultimate future would be to support myself full-time with my craft. I'm almost there but not quite yet. I would also like to teach my Grandchildren the Art of Sewing. I believe it is one of our lost Arts and fading quicker by the minute. Knowing that I have taught them a useful skill would just thrill me to pieces.

It's been a fairly good day!

Wow, I have so impressed myself, ( too funny ). I actually have added links, and applied a Google Search Engine to my blog spot today. Not bad for someone scared of their own shadow HUH? lol

One Step At A Time!

Today I amazed myself. I actually figured out how to change my template ( I like this one much better ) and I learned how to add links. If you would like a link to your store on my blog, email me the information at Claydreams01@aol.com, and I will see if I remember how I did it.

The Fear of the Uknown

This evening I am putting some time into learning how to post, update, and add links to my blog. I am very technically challenged, and very afraid I am going to do something I can't figure out how to undo. I will never learn if I don't jump in with both feet so here I go. Does it sound like I am giving myself a pep talk, well I am.
